A program to convert CDs to MP3, Ogg or WAV formats.

LameFE is a program to convert CDs to MP3, Ogg or WAV formats.

To do this, LameFE uses the following encoders: Lame 3.93.1, Ogg Vorbis 1.0, Monkeys Audio 3.97, Wave Audio.

It is quick when converting the formats, and connects to the FreeDB database, or reads the information if the CD contains CD-text or reads the CDPlayer.ini looking for information on the CD you are about to rip.

To decode you can use CD Digital Audio, Wave Audio and also the plug-ins for Winamp. As a curiosity LameFE can, if you want, convert a whole CD to MP3 in just one file, in place of one file per song.

LameFE has a parche to translate the program to other languages which you can download, to translate the program interface.
